Our story

My journey with house painting began around the time my father sold his detailing business and took up painting. His dedication to the craft naturally led me to learn the trade too. For about ten years, I worked for different painting companies, where I gained valuable, hands-on experience and learned from seasoned painting veterans.

Making mistakes taught me the most valuable lessons. Despite the challenges, those experiences sharpened my skills and shaped who I am today as a business owner. One of the most important lessons I learned was to never cut corners.

I made the decision to start my own business after a serious injury that left me unable to work. I needed time to rest and recognized the importance of work-life balance and having control over my own schedule. The positive feedback I received from previous employers reinforced my belief that I could take my career to the next level.

So, I began taking on painting jobs through the local community based app Nextdoor, and quickly loved the personal connections I made with my clients. The name "Sunshine Painting" came to me after a heartfelt conversation with a client who shared how she’d recently lost her husband, and that my work had brought her comfort and joy during a difficult time. The name resonated deeply with me, representing not just my business, but the positive impact I strive to make on people’s lives personally.
